Since the beta and now the release of Tom Clancy’s The Division, many gamers are complaining about the PvP mechanics in the Dark Zone. The from the developers as risk versus reward described system seems to be not rewarding and balanced enough and has started to annoy a lot of Rogue Agents out there.
According to Gameranx the developers from Ubisoft Massive mentioned during the weekly The Division State of the Game Twitch stream that the low number of PvP encounters in the DZ doesn’t even meet their own expectations, which why they will reduce the penalty for dying as a Rogue Agent to other players in order to encourage them to go more rogue in the future.
The Dark Zone is intended to be the PvP area, so this is definitely a nice step into the right direction, at least in our opinion. Losing a couple of DZ Rank XP and DZ Funds worth more than ten-thousand credits is way too much compared to what you could gain when completing a Manhunt.
Besides that some gamers in the community reported difficulty problems with an enemy archetype, meaning the Rushers in particular who are equipped with shields and axes with the only goal to hunt you down wherever you are trying to hide. They actually requested a nerf of this type which Ubisoft immediately declined because of the reason that they should be more careful and use more tactics to approach enemies.
Last but not least Ubisoft is also looking into reducing the downtime during regular server maintenance so that players will actually have more time to play – as it should be.
