Like last week, no game changes were applied during today’s scheduled weekly server maintenance with another episode of The Division’s State of the Game talk on Twitch.
The team is in the final phase of getting things done for the go live of the upcoming free update 1.2 next Tuesday. Some of its new contents including gameplay scenes from the new Incursion Clear Sky and other new gameplay mechanics can be found in the latest Special Report on Twitch.
Contents
Cheating/Hacking
You might have seen the one or other cheater popping up every now and then since the last few days. This is because the first ban wave(s) went out more than 2 weeks ago and while the first level of punishment means a ban for 14 days, the second one will be a permanent ban. A new ban wave just has gone out today and better detection tools will prevent them or others from hopefully finding their way back into the game.
ISAC.exe Assignments
Next Tuesday will be the day of the new update, but don’t expect any new ISAC assignments from dropping in. It was just a matter of time of when this change will happen, but new Weekly Assignments will be given out on Thursday instead of Tuesday then, to match the new date of the weekly server maintenance.
Also the rewards changed a bit. You will not longer receive 30 Phoenix Credits for completing them, but unique vanity items for even more appearance customization.
Stash Size
The limited stash size of 40 slots seems to become a bigger and bigger problem from week to week. With the introduction of 4 new Gear Sets and the upcoming item drop increase, this seems to get some kind of really annoying, not even speaking about the weapon skins which still take up a slot in your inventory instead of just acting like other vanity items that don’t waste item slots.
However, the team is working on an increase of the stash space, but this feature will not find its way into patch 1.2. In addition, it will require another client update.
Stashes in the Dark Zone
You will never ever have to leave the Dark Zone again because of a full stash if you don’t want to. Additional stashes will be available with update 1.2 in every DZ checkpoint.
Cutting the Rope
Hijacking an Extraction will not go unpunished. As soon as you interact with the rope and try to cut it into pieces, your team will be marked as Rogue (Rogue Stage 0 and 19 seconds timer). In case you manage to fully cut it, you will reach Rogue Stage 1, giving you the standard timer of 90 seconds.
Update for Longer Interactions
You are heading to a Supply Drop and start attacking the guards. Out of a sudden, another agent crosses your line with increased movement speed and shiny blue colors. Well, that’s because he just used his Survivor Link to claim the drop rewards for himself as killing him or the guards that are still fighting you is not an option at all in this moment.
Good to hear that this will be changed, because when taking damage after the new update, even with Survivor Link active, the channeled timer of the interaction with an object (Supply Drop, Extraction rope, …) will be reset/slowed down.
