Finally it’s done. We are back with the evaluated data of the loot drops in The Division’s latest Update 1.3 “Underground” and would like to present you the result in form of a new Gear Score based loot table. We wouldn’t have been able to create it without the details you guys have provided throughout the last few weeks due to our initial community request. Thank you!
Although we know that the developers are already planning to revamp the whole loot system again in terms of loot weighting, amount and quality of drops, it’s probably at least another month of waiting for the next major DLC “Survival” which should be released in September for Xbox One and PC. Maybe it helps the one or other player to gear up.

Loot Table 1.3
Before you continue, you should be aware that the visualized data might not be 100% accurate, meaning that they are not official. We did our best to filter out invalid looking results and played lots of hours ourselves – beginning from Hard, Challenging to Heroic – to verify submitted data and get a feeling for what’s possible. It’s based on over 1000 entries across the board as you can see below.
- Open World: 250+ entries
- Dark Zone: 270+ entries
- Underground Operations: 570+ entries
If you find any inconsistency or have got any other loot drop that is not represented in the following cheat sheet, please let us know by providing a screenshot or video (if possible) in the comments below, our contact form or forums and we will gladly update it!
And here it is, our updated loot table for Update 1.3 “Underground”, including the new Heroic Mode, Dark Zone Bracket 231+ and Underground Operations.

In Update 1.3, HVTs became stronger (NPC Level 33), but unfortunately are still mostly dropping one of the most hated and at the same time most used Gear Sets at the moment, we are speaking about the Lone Star Gear Set.
This is definitely something the developers are aware of and which will be addressed with aforementioned loot update. Why it’s still valuable is because of its 2-Set Bonus with +100% Ammo Capacity you can get without the need of actively wearing the set. Something that is currently necessary if you don’t want to restock every minute or rely on the Ammo Cache Support Station, because NPCs are too tanky and/or the damage dealt by players against them is too low.

Incursions
Update 1.3 also brought us the new Incursion “Dragon’s Nest”, probably one of the best spots to obtain loot at the moment. Not the Incursion itself is so rewarding, but a collective of 4 Cleaner bosses – The Four Horsemen, which can be farmed all day long within a few minutes and have the same drop chance as the end boss of an Incursion, except that you could almost multiply it by 4. You can find a full guide of how to farm them including a video here.

Dark Zone
Getting and providing new data for the newest GS 231+ DZ Bracket was maybe the most annoying part of this whole event, because nobody wants to lose sight of his character while standing still in the open streets of the Dark Zone.

Underground Operations
Underground Operations were added through the first major expansion “Underground” for The Division as part of the game’s Season Pass. Based on the data we have got, it seems so that, besides the chosen difficulty, only the amount of Directives affects the items you can get as Mission Reward.
We assumed that also the amount of Phases plays a role in this system, but it seems to only increase the Underground XP you can additionally gain. For more information about the Underground, check out this article.
