It already started with a new world record of 6.4 million players who participated in the Tom Clancy’s The Division open beta, but the launch of the game, which was on March 8th 2016, actually allowed Ubisoft to break a couple of more records.
Ubisoft has announced in its official blog, that its third-person open world shooter RPG is the best sold game in the first 24 hours in Ubisoft’s whole history. Moreover the sale of the digital full game edition of The Division also set a new, single-day record across the three platforms PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

However, this is just the beginning and with the also a few days ago presented one year content plan, there is much more to do than just finishing the game – if that’s possible at all. That said, The Division is one of the most successful new game brand launches in the history of gaming industry.
