We still don’t know much about The Division’s third and last major expansion DLC called “Last Stand“. It’s supposed to come out somewhere early 2017 as part of the Season Pass and that some kind of horde mode or base building could be involved.

Update: The Division Year 2 DLCs confirmed

However, the release of a Season Pass for year 2 – at least DLCs, seems to be almost confirmed at this point according to an entry in the curriculum vitae of an Environment Artist who’s currently working at Ubisoft Reflections.

Tom Clancy’s The Division – Year 2 DLC (Currently in Development) – Ubisoft Reflections – PS4/Xbox ONE/PC

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Ubisoft is thinking about expanding the universe of Tom Clancy’s The Division in the upcoming year(s). The potential to improve the game is simply huge and future DLCs (free and/or paid) could bring new story missions, map areas, raids, PvP arena; just to name a few of them.

With the recent call for the return of a new Elite Task Force in January to address critical topics around the Dark Zone and PvP, there is currently also a The Division movie in production, starring Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal.

They clearly haven’t given up yet if you also consider their decision about delaying paid content to overhaul the game through the in September released Update 1.4.

Furthermore, development studios like Massive Entertainment are constantly looking for new people to join their team to work on The Division.

We will probably have to wait 3 or 4 months longer for an official confirmation on an actual plan for year 2, so please take this information with a grain of salt. But in case this proves to be true, what type of content would you like to see in new DLCs/a new Season Pass?
